Official Guide on Setting Up an EP6S2 Server

Setting Up an Ran EP6S2 Server

I. Required Softwares:

1. Download and install Windows Installer 3.1
2. Download and install .NET Framework 4
3. Download ONLY (important: wait for my further instructions on how you install this later) Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition. Before you download this program, you should first check the "service pack" of your computer if it has. To check that, go to Start> Right Click 'My Computer' > Properties > Under the 'General' Tab, at the bottom of the 'System' column, there you can see if your computer has a service pack and what version it is. Now that you know your service pack, you may finally download MSQL 2005 Express Edition.
4. Now that you've downloaded the MSQL 2005 Express Edition with the right Service Pack compatible with your computer. I'm gonna show you a video thats going to teach you how to install MSQL 2005 Express Edition properly.
5. Last to download is the SQL Server Management Studio Express Service. It's download is the same as the MSQL 2005 Express Edition that you'll gonna match the service pack with your computer.
6. The easiest step is installing SQL Server Management Studio Express Service. You're gonna do nothing but hit the 'next' button till you finish the installation.



II. Server Files:
1. Download EP6 Server Files
2. Download Ep6 Editors
3. Download EP6 Database
4. Download GMC for EP6 Season 2
5. Now, If you want to Host & Join with the same PC, then Read this
6. Open up “CFG\serve1.cfg” and find the IP and change the IP to your Local Area Network IP "EX:192.168.x.x". If you are not sure what is your LAN IP, Press Start Button, Click Run, type "cmd" without the "". Inside Command Prompt type "ipconfig" without the "". Do the same thing on “serve2.cfg-serve6.cfg”


III. Game Client:
1. Download Split Parts:



2. Or Download Full Client: Download



3. After Downloading, Open "Param.ini" with "LogicFileEditor" and change the IP to yours. Make sure your Server IP is same with your Client IP.
4. Also Copy your Client "Data" to your Server Files.

1st Database Guide

Quote: Creating new database

For SQL Express 2005
1. click mo ang RanServer folder may makikita kang SQL 2005 folder,,sa loob nito may makikita kang RanGame1_2k5, RanLog1_2k5, RanShop1_2k5, RanUser1_2k5.
2. click mo sila bawat isa
a. RanGame1 -then Press Execute[!], wait until analyzing is complete
b. RanLog1 -then Press Execute[!], wait until analyzing is complete
c. RanShop1 -then Press Execute[!], wait until analyzing is complete
d. RanUser1 -then Press Execute[!], wait until analyzing is complete

For SQL Server 2000
1. On Enterprise manager , Open Query Analyzer.
2. Open RanGame1.sql
3. then Press Execute[!] or Play button, wait until analyzing is complete
4. Same on RanLog.sql, RanShop.sql and RanUser.sql

OR

Restoring Backup Database (kung may ep3 server na gawa niyo)
1. Open MSSQL Management Studio 2005
2. Login using Windows Authentication
3. Right click Database, Select New Database
4. Create New Database from this name's RanShop, RanLog, RanUser
5. Create New Datavase for RanGame1 and
Set Logical name RanGame1P_Data, RanGame1_log and
Click Add and Set it to RanGame1S_Data , click OK

6. Right click RanGame1, Select Task > Restore > Database
7. Chose From Device , Click Button , Click Add , add the rangame1.bak
8. Check rangame1 then go to Options
9. In Restore Options check the Overwrite existing database
10. click OK
11. Repeat #6, Same on RanUser, RanShop and RanLog

2nd ODBC Settings

3rd How to configure RAN Server Files?

1. Buksan ang CFG folder mismo sa Ran na na-install niyo. Example: AtongRan
2. Buksan ang agent.ini, session.ini, field0.ini and login.ini.
3. Palitan ang 127.0.0.1 sa iyong IP Address (example: 192.168.0.1 - LAN IP). Wag mo na palitan yung IP address kung gusto maglaro ng offline
4. Gawin rin ito sa field, login, and session.
5. Meron ka nang RAN server. Yehey!!!

Note: odbc_user and odbc_pass can also be empty if it is Windows Authentication

4th How to configure DATA folder of your RAN Server?

1. Pumunta sa data folder ng iyong client.
2. Copy this following folder from your client to server data folder (kopyahin lang ang mga sumusunod na file mula sa client na-install mo tapos paste mo siya sa server data folder)

Loading & Unloading Event Maps in Game

/lev_new [filename.Lev] = Load Event Map
/lev_del = UnLoad Event Map

Lev files can be found inside the level.rcc file
you can open the file using winrar program

Creating an account
set UserType = 32 on UserInfo table for GM
and UserType = 1 for Users Only

on Ep4 database, you notice that the password is code instead of word
thats the new changes on Ep4 database
you must convert your password to a code known as MD5 Hash

Siya nga pala may mga nagrereklamo sa paggawa ng Ran. Sabi ng iba nag-restart daw yung pc nila habang nag-install ng MSSQL. Baka naman kasi di updated yung pc niyo kaya ganun. Para i-update ang pc niyo, pumunta sa Control Panel>Security Center>Automatic Updates. Select niyo download file but let me choose. Restart niyo ang pc tapos sa right side ng task bar katabi ng time and date, may makikita kayong dilaw na icon. Yun ang ibig sabihin ng windows update. Hintayin niyo matapos ang download. Pagkatapos sabihin niya ng ready to install, piliin ang custom. Wag isama ang WGA (Windows Genuine Advantage) kung pirated ang gamit niyong OS....hahaha!

Para mas mabilis ang update, download niyo na agad to:
